The Animal Lawn

Father Christmas is never far from his reindeer, so the Racecourse plays host to Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and Vixen! Along with reindeer, racegoers can meet a multitude of festive animals on the Animal Lawn, including Clip-Clop Ponies who will be offering pony rides to children.

Father Christmas' Welcome Parade

Watch as Father Christmas arrives at Ascot Racecourse! Joined by a whole cast of Christmas characters, Father Christmas and Mrs Christmas will ride down the High Street and into the Parade Ring to welcome all racegoers to this extraordinary day of family fun.

The Welcome Parade begins at 11.15am.

Family Entertainment

Roaming entertainers will be on hand to entertain our younger racegoers - including Scotty the Greencoat Bear, Rudi the Reindeer, Anton the Juggler, Bubble Joe, the Madagascar Penguins and the West End Dance Troup. Gingerbread decorating and face painting is also available for kids - ensuring there is something for all the family at the most valuable meeting of the Ascot Jumps season.

Bjorn the Polar Bear

Bjorn, the life-sized, animatronic polar bear will be visiting Ascot with his Inuit handler for the enjoyment of racegoers at the Christmas Family Raceday. Come and meet him on the 21st December.

Free Fairground Rides

For those in high festive spirits, the racecourse fairground returns for 2019. A range of rides are available, including family favourites - Tea Cups, Mini Jets, Race-a-Rama and Train Rides.

Join us after the racing for traditional Christmas carols in the iconic Ascot Grandstand. The singing will be accompanied by the Ascot Brass band and The Tootsie Rollers.

Mrs Christmas' Storytelling

Mrs Christmas returns to Ascot with new yuletide tales from the North Pole. Children can sit around Mrs Christmas' grotto and enjoy her fascinating stories about elves, reindeer and Father Christmas' journey on Christmas morning.
