The Tin Man aiming at Champions Day glory again

The Tin Man, last year’s sprint king on QIPCO British Champions Day, will be aimed at retaining his crown, trainer James Fanshawe has confirmed.

Winner of the Diamond Jubilee Stakes this year, the five-year-old has thrived this season and his trainer is hoping he can do so again.

“The Tin Man is in great form and he will be aimed for the QIPCO British Champions Sprint,” said James Fanshawe.

“Hopefully we can have him in as good a form as he was last year when we get to 21 October. It’s a great day and we really enjoyed last year. He seems fine after Newmarket and the idea is to aim for the Sprint Cup at Haydock next month.”

Third in the race 12 months ago, Brando, who has since claimed a first Group 1 success in the Prix Maurice de Gheest, also features among the entries.

Also entered are Darley July Cup hero, Harry Angel, Commonwealth Cup victor Caravaggio and dual Group 1 winner, Limato.
