REDBULL AIR RACE FAQ


1. What time does the event start and finish?

On the Saturday, gates open at 11:00 and close at 19:00 - On Sunday gates open at 10:00 and close at 18:00.

2. Can I purchase tickets on the day?

Yes you can, subject to availability. We would advise that you purchase in advance otherwise you may miss out.

3. Can I bring a picnic?

Picnics are not permitted at the Red Bull Air Race

4. Can I bring alchohol?

Alcohol is not permitted at the Red Bull Air Race

5. Can I bring chairs and tables into the racecourse?

Folding chairs are allowed but tables are not allowed in to the Racecourse during the Red Bull Air Race.

6. Where can I park?

We have a number of car parks for both cars and coaches. Cars will be parked on a first come first served basis. Coach parking, mini bus and limo’s will be car park 6. Please ensure you arrive early. 

7. Is parking free?

Cars will be charged £10, mini bus and Limo’s will be charged £20 and Coaches will be charged £40

8. How far is the train station from the racecourse?

The train station is a 5 / 10 minute walk to the racecourse entrance.

9. Can I come by helicopter?

Yes you can, but you will need to organise accordingly. The normal helicopter landing pad will not be available so speak to your provider. There will be impact on local air routes.

10. Do children come free?

Under 10s are free (need to be accompanied by an adult). 10 – 17 are charged accordingly and are also required to be accompanied by an adult. Under 10s will need to collect a child wrist band from main entrance on the day. The ratio of adult to child will be: 1 adult to 4 children.

11. Are there food and drinks outlets available on site?

Yes. These will be available in the main Grandstand concourse and also on the Grandstand lawns. There will be a selection of food and drink retailers.

12. How many races are there on Saturday and Sunday

There are three rounds of racing on each day.

13. How long does each race last for?

Each race lasts between 30 minutes and 1 hour.

14. I am disabled, can I have a carer ticket?

15. Dresscode

Whilst we encourage hospitality guests to wear smart-casual clothing and kindly ask not to wear sports and beach attire, no formal dress codes applies for the general admission.
