Music acts confirmed for Royal Ascot's Village Enclosure
20th Mar 2019
Ascot is delighted to reveal a first-class line-up of music acts who will feature in the Village Enclosure at Royal Ascot 2019. The enclosure will open for three days during the Royal Meeting – Thursday 20th to Saturday 22nd June – for a third year.
Showcasing the best of contemporary British summertime, the Village Enclosure offers a unique perspective on the spectacle of Royal Ascot. Located in the centre of the track, with trackside views of the racing and the Royal Procession, it features live music, with an impressive backdrop of Ascot’s famous grandstand, boutique dining experiences and innovative bars.
London’s most fashionable female DJ duo of the moment ‘Pips & Henri’ (Pips Taylor and Henri Tiefenthaler) will once again take to the decks on the opening day with their energetic disco and house floor fillers. Radio hosts Lara Fraser and actress Laura Pradelska, who together form ‘The Lallas’, will also take the stage with a ‘school disco meets Sloane Square’ set. Racegoers can also expect live music from party band Madhen, songwriter, musician and musical octopus Thom Kirkpatrick aka ‘One Man Band’, BBC Radio 1’s Chris Stark, BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Yasmin Evans and Furnace & The Fundamentals, who are flying to the UK from Australia especially for this performance.
Due to the popularity of the exclusive ‘Villiers Club’ area, previously situated at the centre of the Village Enclosure, the Villiers Club will now be situated in the ‘Village Green’ which will be connected by a new feature foot bridge in 2019.
Surprising and yet unmistakably Royal Ascot, the Village Enclosure has a style and tempo of its own. Racegoers will find an eclectic range of places to eat, from delicious on-the-go stalls to sit-down casual dining. Confirmed partners include Hot Box, Jude’s Ice Cream, Bob’s Lobster, Babek Brothers, Game Keeper and Sear Street food. There will be three main bars; Brummell’s, Hepburn and Sebastian Artois Le Village Bar where racegoers can enjoy mocktails, Moët & Chandon Champagne and cocktails.
With its own individual Style Guide, in keeping with the rest of the racecourse synonymous with sartorial elegance, the Village Enclosure is the party destination at one of the world’s finest horse racing events. A must for the summer social calendar, it’s all the magic and style of Royal Ascot – but with a contemporary twist.
Unfortunately, having made every attempt to find an alternative safe location, due to the high winds, safety implications and damage to the main stage, we have had to cancel today’s concert featuring Jessie J, Tinie Tempah & Charlsey DJ and Go West.
