Going remains Good at end of day two
The going at end of day two remains Good all over, having been changed after race three today (from Good on the Straight Course & Good, Good to Soft in places on the Round Course).
Chris Stickels, Clerk of the Course at Ascot, said: "I am leaving the ground as Good overnight.
"There is the chance of some showers tonight and again tomorrow morning. It is not clear looking at the forecast how much rain we can expect, so we will see where we are tomorrow morning.
"Today went really well with some really great racing."

Lord North strongest at the finish to land Prince of Wales's Stakes

Lord North swooped from last to first in the blink of an eye to land the Group 1 Prince of Wales's Stakes under James Doyle. Having saved ground all the way round, the son of Dubawi delivered a closing three furlong time of 35.73 seconds, almost a full second quicker than anything else in the field with a top speed of 39.1mph as he kicked for home.
Smooth success for Tactical in Windsor Castle

The Royal winner of the Windsor Castle Stakes showed the benefit of running in a straight line as he recorded the shortest distance travelled in the race of 1005.1m. That was more than four metres shorter than the second horse Yazaman, who finished strongly with a 12.22s final furlong which was the fastest in the field.
Looks can be deceiving

For much of the Silver Royal Hunt Cup it looked as if the far side group was ahead with Maydanny leading the way but as the camera angle flattened it was clear the near side held the advantage. The sectional splits show the full story of the race with Maydanny actually 16th at the halfway point. Ambassadorial took the field to that point in 51.12s while Maydanny was 51.93s - a difference of around 4/5 lengths.
N.B. All data subject to final checking and amendments. In race seven, horse number six (Shailene) suffered a fault with the saddle cloth chip so no data is currently available.
