Ascot will stage a nine race card on Saturday, including the Betfair Hurdle Race (Handicap)and the Betfair Denman Steeple Chase from Newbury.

Entry fees for the Betfair Hurdle Race (Handicap) will be refunded and there will be no entry fee for the Betfair Denman Steeple Chase.

ITV4 will broadcast five races live from Ascot on Saturday including the Betfair Ascot Steeple Chase and the two additional races from Newbury.

As confirmed by the BHA, prize money will remain at £85,000 for the Betfair Hurdle Race
(Handicap) and £50,000 for the Betfair Denman Steeple Chase.

We are grateful that Betfair have agreed to continue their support of the two additional races.

Chris Stickels, Clerk of the Course at Ascot, said:

“Since the stables were last used, all bedding has been removed and the units fogged with a STERI 7 XTRA solution. Once bedded down, they were fogged again with a STERI 7 XTRA solution. I have discussed this with D Sykes, BHA Director of Equine Health and Welfare, who is satisfied with the level of cleaning we have carried out.”

Newbury Annual Members will be given free entry to the Queen Anne Enclosure on presentation of credentials.
