VACANCIES

TICKET PACKER X 2

These are 3-month fixed term – full time positions.

Reporting to the Senior Ticketing & Fulfilment Manager, you will be packing & despatching all tickets for Royal Ascot and Ascot Racedays until the end of Royal Ascot 2018, Saturday 23rd June.  This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, with three positions starting on 26th March 2018.

MARKETING MANAGER

This is a permanent position.

In this role you will support the marketing strategy implementation for Royal Ascot, 21 other annual Ascot racedays, and non-racing events to drive ticket sales and revenue growth across raceday products.

TICKETING & FULFILMENT EXECUTIVE - POST DESPATCH

This is a fixed term position.

Reporting to the Senior Ticketing and Fulfilment Manager this fixed term role, will work with a team to deliver all of the ticketing, including fine dining and private box hospitality, fulfilment and despatch for all Ascot Racedays and Royal Ascot. 

It is the duty of this Ticketing & Fulfilment Executive to support the Ticketing team to efficiently deliver an elegant service to all customers in order to realise the administrative and fulfilment requirements.

INDUSTRY AFFAIRS EXECUTIVE

This is a permenant position.

Ascot Racecourse requires someone with racing industry knowledge, who can collate industry documentation, analyse it and advise on racing industry affairs. The successful applicant will have excellent written and presentation skills. In addition, the Industry Affairs Executive will support Ascot’s CSR and customer relations programme, including front of house customer liaison.

GROUNDSPERSON

This is a permenant position.

To work on all aspects of the Flat and National Hunt courses and grounds maintenance and upkeep, operating machinery and tractor driving as required.  This will also involve attendance on racedays, including those that take place at weekends.

OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

This is a permenant position.

This is a key role within our busy Operations team - reporting into the Operations Manager who oversees Site Accreditation, Security, Site Security, Car Parking, Traffic Management, Medical provision and local agency liaison.  This area of the Operations Department oversees over 1,000 temporary workers at Royal Ascot and has overall responsibility for the safety of customers at Racedays and events.

This role will provide key assistance and support on day to day tasks whilst co-ordinating our workforce management system (Time Target) for all Raceday staff.

DIGITAL INTERN

This is a one year fixed term position.

Responsible for supporting delivery of the Ascot Digital Content plan through creating and publishing high-quality, engaging content (video, images, text) for social media and website.

Support delivery of the World Horse Racing Group project, including community management and project logistics support. Manage the flow of content between Ascot and its digital media outlets/partners.

SENIOR EVENT DESIGNER

This is a permanent position.

The Operations and Events Department is responsible for the creation, design and build of all racedays and events throughout the year.  This role will be responsible for the design of these events to include site layout, entertainment and furniture. 

Working closely with the Head of Operations and Events to ensure that the Ascot brand and values are delivered seamlessly across all design, the role will be wholly responsible for the interiors of all temporary structures for Royal Ascot as well as orchestrating the overarching themes for racedays.  This role will work alongside the Event Build Manager who is responsible for the construction and build elements of Royal Ascot.  The role will also oversee the contractors to deliver the end result.

MECHANICAL ENGINEER

This is a permenant position.

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting, as directed by the Mechanical Team Leader, in the delivery of all Mechanical elements across Ascot Racecourse. You will provide building services engineering to support the long- term maintenance, longevity, day to day operation. You will provide knowledge of operation and building infrastructure, including mechanical and building fabric.

EVENT BUILD MANAGER

This is a permenant position.

Reporting to the Head of Operations and Events, this role will design, build and breakdown the temporary infrastructure across the racecourse, paying special attention to Royal Ascot. Working closely with the Facilities team and contractors to ensure all builds are delivered to plan and on time, whilst ensuring each structure design delivers the brand values; Original, Elegant and Uplifting.

HEALTH AND SAFETY COORDINATOR

This is a one year fixed term position.

To co-ordinate, support and advise the business on all aspects with regards to Health and Safety. To establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health and Safety within Ascot Racecourse are adhered to. To create a lasting positive Health and Safety Culture across Ascot Racecourse and across its key contractors.

ROYAL ENCLOSURE  - RESTAURANT & CLIENT SERVICES ADMINISTRATOR

This is a six month fixed term position.

This role will support the Royal Enclosure department in answering telephone calls and emails in an efficient and courteous manner at all times, with a specific focus on booking restaurants and picnics for Royal Enclosure members.  Directly reporting on a day to day basis to the Royal Enclosure Manager.

PROJECTS OPERATIVE

This is a permanenet position.

The main duties will be to carry out general buildings projects, including tasks such as carpentry and joinery, bricklaying, plastering and general construction work.

ROYAL ENCLOSURE FULFILMENT ADMINISTRATOR

This is a 6 month fixed term contract.

This role will support the Royal Enclosure Department with the fulfilment requirements for the Royal Meeting.

You will be managing a team of Royal Enclosure Badge Writers to ensure they provide elegant and beautiful hand-written badges, as well as ensuring quality and efficiency.

OWNERS AND TRAINERS RACEDAY ASSISTANT

The Owners’ & Trainers’ Raceday Assistant oversees the Trainers/Jockeys desk on all racedays. They are responsible for dealing with ticket enquiries, issuing tickets to trainers, jockeys and their guests, issuing tickets to ROA members on valid ROA ticket offer days and to

help the Owners’ & Trainers’ badge desk where necessary. They report in to the Owners’ & Trainers’ Desk Supervisor and will be required to work all racedays throughout the year. This is a part time role. Racing knowledge is beneficial.

PAINTING AND DECORATING TEAM LEADER

This is a permanent position.

A vacancy has opened up in our Facilities Team as a working Team Leader.  The purpose of the role is to undertake decoration and maintenance to the racecourse facilities, and lead a team of three painting and decorating operatives.

You will undertake decoration maintenance to the racecourse facilities, ensuring the expected high standards are met at all times.

This is a permanent position.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Executive who will  be responsible for pro-actively selling Conference & Events products and services, maximising business from new customers and existing customers through an innovative approach and always delivering best experience to all our customers.

The candidate will be responsible for developing both new and existing accounts with customers and suppliers to maximise income opportunities.  You will be establishing and maintaining ongoing customer feedback with a high level of customer care for both internal and external customers.
