Our first family raceday of 2019 is free for under 18s and offers a thrilling combination of top class racing and free countryside themed activities for racegoers of all ages. There is no better way to spend a crisp Sunday afternoon.
Ascot’s final fixture of the 2018-19 Jumps season takes centre stage, with a mix of hurdles and chases for novices right through to veterans.
Children can also eat free in the Bandstand Restaurant.
Younger children can explore the safe racecourse environment today with free fun attractions that have an educational slant. Central to its ethos is the importance of the countryside in our everyday lives.
Activities include Bird of Prey and Sheep Dog displays, ferret racing, pony rides, flower arranging and Honey Bee workshops.
A hive of activity throughout the day; hosting duck herding, ferret racing, Sheep Dogs, falconry displays and much more!
A climbing wall, National Target Shooting and (slightly more serene) Pony Rides. TBC
Take part in bulb planting with Ascot’s Head Gardener, live willow fencing and watch chainsaw tree carving.
A designated petting area plus beekeeper talks and live sheep shearing!
Ascot welcomes some special guests who will be making appearances at the racecourse today. Announcement in the New Year!
