The Discover Racehorse Ownership Weekend offers a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes and gain fascinating insight into the unrivalled excitement of owning an equine star, while enjoying a top class day of jumps racing which includes the much anticipated battle between Altior and Cyrname.
card features a pair of Grade 2 contests, including the Coral Hurdle and
Christy 1965 Chase, where two of the superstars of National Hunt Racing, Altior and Cyrname, will go head-to-head in the biggest clash of the season so far.
You will be able to find out more about the wider world of ownership and racing through informative talks and activities with industry experts that will take place throughout the day. Representatives from a variety of clubs and syndicates will be on hand to explain everything about the different options available to help you make your first step into racehorse ownership.
Retraining of Racehorses (RoR), the dedicated charity for the welfare of horses who have retired from racing, will be on hand to showcase the tremendous work they do in rehabilitating ex-racehorses while racegoers will also have the opportunity to meet an ex-racehorse up close and in the flesh. Questions about how the sport works for its equine participants are welcome.
Before racing we are inviting racegoers to join a course walk with former jockey Colin Brown, who rode the great Desert Orchid on many occasions, to experience first-hand what it’s like to ride around this world-famous racecourse.

A private box on an Ascot Raceday offers the opportunity to fill your own private corner of the racecourse with friends, family or clients. Boxes come with a variety of views and they range in capacity from 10 people right up to 72, with larger suites also available. Prices start from £156+VAT Per Person.
Experience matchless views of the racecourse and the Berkshire countryside as you enjoy a delightful Afternoon tea from a large private box on the 6th floor of the Grandstand. Guests have access to the box for the whole day.
Launching at the Discover Racehorse Ownership Weekend, this will be an alcohol free, quiet space for anyone to use if they need a space away from the crowds but still close to the horses. Go Racing Green will be helping to launch this initiative, in line with our efforts to make Ascot more accessible to those with disabilities.
