The jumps are back Fireworks Spectacular Family Raceday

Gather friends and family to enjoy Ascot's first meeting of the 2017/18 Jumps season, featuring the £100,000 Sodexo Gold Cup Chase over three miles.

In 2016, Antony stole the show to land the prize ahead of some high-class horses who went on to make headlines during the National Hunt season. 

Race Times

Fireworks Spectacular

Racing is followed by one of the region's largest Fireworks Spectaculars. The show begins at 6.30pm and will last for around 25 minutes.

The day is a designated family day and entry is free for children under 18.

Free Fairground Rides On the lawns

A number of Fairground Rides are open throughout the day and are FREE until 4pm, when a £1 charity charge will be put in place. The following rides will take over the Ascot Lawns:

Pavilion Lawns - Sizzle Twist Ride

Grandstand Lawn - Waltzers and Dodgems

Queen Anne Lawn - Big slide and (for younger children) Paratrooper and Mini Jets

Stewards House Lawn - Miami Dance and Picnic Lawn

Family Fun Around Ascot

As well as the Fireworks Spectacular and Free Fairground Rides, much more fanily fun will be available including Clip Clop Pony Rides, Face Painting, Trick or Treating and an interactive Guy Fawkes Garden on the Bandstand.

What to wear Flat Season

King Edward VII Enclosure and Winning Post Enclosure

Ladies generally like to dress for a smart occasion.

Gentlemen usually wear a jacket with a collared shirt and tie.

Whilst this style of dress is preferred it is not compulsory during the jumps season. 

Queen Anne Enclosure

Whilst we encourage racegoers to wear smart clothing, no formal dress code applies to the Queen Anne Enclosure.

Ascot Racecourse is ideally situated in beautiful wooded countryside adjoining Windsor Great Park and about a 50 minute drive or train journey from London.

Located close to the M3, M4, M40 & M25 motorways and to London Heathrow for international visitors, Ascot offers easy access for all racegoers wherever their departure point.

Please arrive early. As a major national event we take our security obligations very seriously and are conscious of events around us, as are the hosts of other major sporting events. There will be delays at the entrances and racegoers and participants alike are advised to arrive early.
