Enable wins the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes (sponsored by QIPCO)

Enable and Frankie Dettori stormed to King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes (sponsored by QIPCO) success at Ascot.

The super filly pulled well clear in the final two furlongs and never looked like being caught by the boys in behind.

Ulysses came in second as the likes of Jack Hobbs and Highland Reel could not keep up with the speed in the straight.

It was a perfect start to the day for Ryan Moore who landed the opening race of the day on Nyaleti, stretching clear in the final two furlongs impressively.

William Buick and Godolphin got off the mark for this Super Saturday with a pushed out victory in the Porsche Handicap Stakes over the Royal Hunt Cup Mile.

One of the most thrilling sights on King George Day at Ascot is the Gigaset International Stakes with 27 runners firing down the final few furlongs.

It was Richard Fahey’s Stamp Hill who caused a big price upset thanks to an impressive ride from Paul Hanagan.

In the fifth race of the day, Raydiance made light work of the opposition under Jim Crowley to pull clear and win at 7-1.

Favourite Georgian Bay won the Longines Handicap Stakes and Royal Associate landed the final race of the King George VI Weekend.
