Duke Of Bronte lands Appletiser Handicap Stakes


Duke Of Bronte was a 16-1 winner of the £100,000 Appletiser Handicap Stakes under a strong ride from George Wood.

The three-year-old came with the effort down the outside to outstay his rivals and win the sizeable prize.

Kieran Shoemark landed a big win with John Gosden’s Remarkable in the Cunard Handicap Stakes.

Her Majesty The Queen enjoyed another Ascot winner as 2018-Derby entered Elector landed the Sodexo British EBF Novice Stakes. 

It was a perfect start to the day for Josephine Gordon and Hugo Palmer as they teamed up to win the Sodexo British EBF Novice Stakes DIV I with Fajjaj.

Jamie Spencer narrowly missed out in the opener but was in the Winners’ Enclosure after the second race as odds-on favourite Soliloquy landed the Lavazza Fillies’ Novice Stakes.

The Ritz Club EBF Breeders Series Fillies’ Handicap Stakes went to the impressive Amabalis under a shrewd ride from Pat Dobbs who came from off the pace. 

Ice Lord and Hollie Doyle won the Chapel Down Handicap Stakes and the final race of the day was won by Pettochside with Doyle on board again.
