Father Christmas Heading to Ascot

Santa Claus is coming to town! Watch as Father Christmas arrives at the racecourse. Joined by a whole cast of Christmas characters, the parade will begin on the High Street before heading into the Parade Ring where racegoers can catch a glimpse of the man behind Christmas.

Meet and greet Father Christmas

Young racegoers get the chance to see behind the scenes in Father Christmas’s office, meet the man himself in the Ascot Grandstand and see the planning of his round-the-world trip on Christmas Eve.

Fairground Rides The Grandstand Lawn

For those in high festive spirits, head to the racecourse fairground. A ferris wheel stands on the Grandstand Lawn while the Bandstand Lawn is host to childhood favourites such as the teacups and the swing boats.

The Carol Concert Closing the show

The highlight of the Christmas Racing Weekend, Ascot Brass will once again lead our post-racing Carol Concert on Blake’s Pad. Accompanied by retro girl band, the Tootsie Rollers and acapella vocal group the T-Tones, our Christmas Carol service fills the racecourse with the joy of the festive season.

Animal Lawns

The Cedar Tree Lawn will play host to a pack of beautiful blue-eyed Huskies. Joined by their handler and the sleigh they pull, racegoers are welcome to join the pack and meet these Siberian working dogs.

Father Christmas is never far from his reindeer, so we are of course joined by a whole herd!  Dasher, Dancer and Prancer aren’t the only four-legged friends on the Animal Lawn either, Clip-Clop Ponies are making Christmas wishes come true with free pony rides.

Christmas Candy Cane Trail

This year Ascot transforms into a Christmas Candy Trail, with giant candy canes leading the way across the racecourse. Little ones can collect their own Christmas Passport upon entry and follow our trail, meeting a host of Christmas characters and picking up a few festive treats along the way.

Food and Drink

The King Edward VII Enclosure and Queen Anne Enclosure offer an array of restaurants and bars perfect for the jumps season

Picnic are allowed on the lawns too. See our picnic policy here

Please note: The Bandstand Restaurant is closed for this raceday.
