Owing to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainty as to when spectators will be able to return to Ascot Racecourse, we are currently not selling tickets to any of our racedays, with racing remaining behind closed doors until further notice.
Nevertheless, we very much hope you will enjoy following all the action from home.
Betfair Ascot Chase day is always a hugely popular fixture guaranteed to only intensify the excitement of the legions of Jumps fans eagerly awaiting the Cheltenham Festival. Indeed, the occasion is likely to be one of the very last chances to see some of racing’s biggest names - and potential future stars - in action ahead of the Cotswolds extravaganza in March.
Its feature race, the Grade 1 Betfair Ascot Chase, boasts an exceptional roll of honour to match its reputation as one of the most prestigious prizes of the entire season. Previous winners include the brilliant One Man, Monet’s Garden, Kauto Star, Cue Card, Silviniaco Conti and Paul Nicholls’ current chasing superstar Cyrname, who annihilated a high-class field with a devastating 17-length victory in 2019.
The card also includes the Grade 2 Reynoldstown Novices' Chase, frequently an important stepping stone to The Festival’s Grade 1 three-mile novice chase Chase and a race which has been won by many fine horses over the years, none more so than the great One Man in 1994. The 2020 edition was taken by the progressive Copperhead , who dismissed testing conditions when galloping home by 17 lengths to seal a hat-trick of consecutive victories over fences for trainer Colin Tizzard.
While racegoers may not be able to experience the action at the track itself, we hope you still enjoy what promises a thrilling day’s racing packed with an abundance of established stars and rising talent.
We look forward to welcoming racegoers back to Ascot at the earliest possible opportunity. Raceday ticket information will be updated early in the new year; should you wish to be notified of any developments, please complete your details below.
