Since the launch of Bet With Ascot in July 2018, and as part of Ascot’s community and social responsibility programme, racegoers have been placing their losing betting slips into charity boxes which have been installed across the racecourse.
A local and equine charity are chosen at the beginning of the jumps and flat season and the box with the most slips at the end of the season wins a £1,000 prize from “Ascot Supports”.
We are delighted to announce that Thames Hospice, based in Windsor, had the most losing slips during the 2018-9 jumps season and Debbie Raven, CEO for the Hospice, will be accepting their cheque at the Spring Family Raceday. These monies will assist their current fundraising to build a new premise in nearby Bray.
We are also pleased to announce Ascot's chosen charities for the Flat season - equine charity: British Racing School and local charity: ME2 Club.
Customers are also asked to write their phone number on the back of their slips to be in with a chance of winning a fine dining package plus £100 in Bet With Ascot vouchers – the winner for the 2018-9 Jumps Season will be drawn on Sunday, 31st March 2019.
