Ascot welcomes children under 18 years free to the races, especially at dedicated family racedays, and supports a number of local schools with our fundraising activities, donating hundreds of raceday tickets every year.

Colts & Fillies Club
In 2002, Ascot launched the Colts & Fillies Club with the aim of making horse racing more accessible to our younger audience. The Club is free to join for all children aged 17 years and under, and currently has 18,857 members.

Local Schools Art Competition
In 2018, the “Royal Ascot Schools Art Competition” was launched which saw eight local schools send in their colourful artwork for a chance of winning £1,000 for their school.  The winning entries are currently displayed in the Heath Tunnel which runs from Ascot High Street to the Heath.

Racing to School
This charity-run educational programme takes place at Ascot on term-time racedays throughout the year.  It has been designed to support young people's learning and development with the aim of encouraging an interest in horseracing, both as a leisure activity and as a future career path.

Work Experience Days
Our 1711 catering team, headed up by Head Chef, Gemma Amor, have been delighted to host catering students from local SEN schools.

Family Day Offers for Local Schools
From 2019, local schools who purchase raceday tickets using a dedicated code will also receive £6 back for their school for every ticket purchased.
