Ahead of Saturday’s Clarence House Chase Raceday at Ascot, Clerk of the Course Chris Stickels has provided the following update:
"The current Going is Soft, Frozen in places. There will be an inspection to determine if racing can go ahead at 6.30am on Saturday morning.
"Mainly dry cold forecast, -3°C due overnight to Saturday. Temperature was -2°C at 7am on Friday morning, following -4°C on Thursday morning and -4.5°C on Wednesday morning.
"The whole course was covered with frost covers yesterday. Landings, take off’s and more vulnerable areas have been covered since Tuesday."
