Supreme USA mare Tepin is set for Royal Ascot in just over two weeks, owner Robert Masterson has confirmed.
Following her five-furlong breeze in 1:01.60 (15/27) at Churchill Saturday morning, Tepin reported no obvious issues without using the reliable Lasix or nasal strip for the first time and is now set to be shipped to England next week.
Ante post favourite for the Queen Anne Stakes on the opening day of Royal Ascot, Tepin is set to be one of the showcase horses of the meeting as the American’s continue to aim their season towards the Berkshire meeting.
Masterson is keen for his Breeders’ Cup Mile winner to have the chance at Ascot.
“We are planning to take the filly to Royal Ascot and run in the Queen Anne Stakes,” Masterson confirmed to Thoroughbred Daily News on Saturday night.
“Right now, all systems are go and everybody is on board.
“She obviously has some things to overcome that are different than the way she is running here, but we would like to go try it and see how she does.”
