The Royal Ascot Racing Club (RARC) provides its members with the opportunity to experience unparalleled style and luxury in its unique clubrooms, coupled with the excitement of participating in the Club’s stable of five racehorses.
RARC provides its members with a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the world’s finest racing in stylish and comfortable track facilities, in a prime location with superb catering.
As a member you’ll have access to the elegant Clubrooms shown below in the video, based on Level 2 of the Grandstand, above the finishing line and the Horsewalk. Other facilities include well-appointed bars, private tote betting, televisions on the north and south sides of the Grandstand, and an extensive viewing area, just along from the Royal Box.
At each race meeting, Rhubarb Food and Design provides tea and coffee, canapés, a light lunch including a cheese board, and traditional afternoon tea, along with complimentary soft drinks, wines, champagne and spirits.
During Royal Ascot, RARC members will enjoy canapés, wonderful “bowl food” and afternoon tea, but will need to book a restaurant table for lunch, at an additional cost and subject to availability.
Once approved by the committee, each member receives two metal engraved badges: one non-transferable badge, for the member only; and one guest badge, which is transferable.
These badges allow entry into the Clubrooms on racedays throughout the year, with the exception of Royal Ascot.
During the Royal Meeting, each member receives a complimentary Royal Enclosure five-day badge, however additional badges need to be purchased to accompany the metal guest badge.
During the year, members also have the opportunity to invite extra guests to enjoy the benefits of the Clubroom using "cardboard" badges. These badges are allocated via a booking system at a cost of £200 each, including VAT. No cardboard badges are available during Royal Ascot, King George Day, QIPCO Champions Day, or the RARC Annual Meeting Day.

The Royal Ascot Racing Club has five flat horses in training under the stewardship of The Hon. Harry Herbert and John Warren. The Royal Ascot Racing Club purchases racehorses for its members’ enjoyment and regularly has runners at the country’s showpiece meetings: from Royal Ascot, of course, to the Cheltenham Festival. Since the Club’s inception in 1998, members have shared in some wonderful track moments, headlined by Motivator’s 2005 Derby victory.
Each member shares in the prize money won by the Club’s horses, and all racing and training expenses are included in the annual subscription. As well as providing the opportunity to attend races when a Club horse is running, RARC also encourages its members to engage in the experience of racehorse ownership by organising annual events such as stable visits, overnight stays at the Jockey Club Rooms in Newmarket, and the popular Yearling Parade.
Keep track of their progress on the Highclere website.

Royal Ascot Racing Club member, Sue Brealey, writes about the privileges of belonging to the finest racing club in the world, and the euphoria of owning a Derby winner.
Racing is famously described as ‘The Sport of Kings’, but in 2005 the most democratic winner in Derby history demonstrated that the peasants could get a look in too. As the mighty Motivator was led into the winners’ enclosure after his five-length triumph in the world’s premier horserace, a multitude of owners from the Royal Ascot Racing Club cheered as one, and top hats were flung in the air.
