Quiet Reflection and Dougie Costello won the second running of the Commonwealth Cup.
The Karl Burke trained winner cost just £45,000 for the owners and has landed the Group 1 on day four of Royal Ascot.
Costello, who is a Grade 1 winner over jumps and now a Group 1 winner on the flat, was emotional after the race as the pressure was released.
The short priced favourite was seen as one of the best chances of the week to earn a win for punters and the optimism was justified.
Michael Owen’s Kachy (14/1) lead for most of the six furlongs but wandered from side-to-side and was eventually dropped to second by Quiet Reflection.
Ryan Moore was third on Washington DC and La Rioja ran on well for fourth.
