Ascot Racecourse is delighted to announce its debut partnership with celebrated chef, James Tanner. James will be hosting a pop up restaurant in the Queen Anne Enclosure at Royal Ascot this year. To be known as‘The Queen Anne Kitchen’it will be a walk in, no reservations set up.

The menu will be centred on brasserie style dishes inspired by James’ Barbican Kitchen restaurant located in Plymouth, which he co-owns with his brother Chris Tanner.  Dishes will include a West Country crab salad with pink grapefruit and avocado; salt and pepper squid with Miso mayo, lime and coriander shoots; and a 100% steak Burger with a brioche bun, burger sauce, smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, pickles and fries.  Desserts will include Pave of chocolate, oreo crumb and crème fraiche sorbet and an Eton Mess with English strawberries.

James Tanner, Chef, Restauranteur and TV Personality, said: “Royal Ascot is one of the world’s most prestigious racing events and a highlight in the British social calendar. I am both delighted and honoured to be hosting The Queen Anne Kitchen.

“Guests can look forward to watching the action unfold whilst dining on delicious dishes that celebrate the best in British ingredients. Our approach to dining is based on delivering high quality, local food, and is the staple of our restaurants, including our award-winning Kent gastropub, The Kentish Hare and our Plymouth based brasserie, Barbican Kitchen – it is fantastic to be bringing a taste of this to the heart of Royal Ascot.”
