    A weekend which encapsulates what is best about this prestigious racecourse and most traditional of sports.

    The King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes sponsored by QIPCO is the feature race commemorating Her Majesty The Queen’s late parents and is the European mid-season middle distance championship.

    Off-track a wonderful array of bars and sublime entertainment are available, which creates a quintessential English Garden party atmosphere at the height of summer.

    There are several experiences to choose from. Each offers a truly unique experience at our historic racecourse.

    Grandstand

    Put yourself at the centre of the raceday, at the very heart of the action. With Grandstand Admission you can view the horses in the Parade Ring before heading trackside to watch the top-class racing. You will find plenty of delicious options for food and drink, or you may choose to bring your own to enjoy a relaxed picnic on the lawns.

    SOLD OUT With seated balconies overlooking both the Parade Ring and track, racegoers have unsurpassed views of the action before, during, and after each race.  Guests will enjoy a selection of elegant bars and dining options on this private fourth-floor and can also access all of the facilities available to Grandstand customers.

    WHAT TO WEAR

    DRESSING FOR THE FLAT SEASON

    Here is some guidance on what to wear during the Flat season, which runs from April to October.

    • King Edward VII Enclosure (formerly Premier Admission) and Winning Post Enclosure (Shergar Cup and King George VI Weekend)
    • Queen Anne Enclosure (formerly Grandstand Admission)

    WHAT TO WEAR: FLAT SEASON

    KING EDWARD VII & WINNING POST ENCLOSURES

    Ladies should dress as for a smart occasion. Hats or fascinators are preferred but not mandatory.

    Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket with a collared shirt and tie. Trainers are not allowed.

    Children aged 17 and under should adhere to the King Edward VII Enclosure dress code; however this does not apply to very young children.

    Please note that fancy dress, novelty and branded or promotional clothing is not permitted within the King Edward VII Enclosure.

    WHAT TO WEAR: FLAT SEASON

    QUEEN ANNE ENCLOSURE

    Whilst we encourage racegoers to wear smart clothing, no formal dress code applies in the Queen Anne Enclosure area during the Flat season.

    Please note that bare chests are not permitted at any time.

    Fancy Dress

    Fancy dress and replica sports shirts are not permitted at Ascot Racecourse.

      Swing Orchestra

      Graham Dalby and his 30 piece London Swing Orchestra will provide an unforgettable afternoon set from the Bandstand.

      Fully Funktional

      After racing, dance away to Fully Funktional, featuring an 8-piece band with 4-piece rhythm section. They promise to "wow you musically and exhaust you visually". 

      Behind-the-Scenes Tours

      Enjoy a free guided venue tour from one of our bowler-hatted stewards including a visit to the Weighing Room and Jockey’s Changing Room. Tours depart from the Old Paddock Lawns at 1100

      Ascot has been entertaining guests since 1711 and we are delighted to offer a selection of spectacular bars and restaurants for guests to choose from including Bangers and Bubbles, The Front Runner Grill and Pizza Express.
