Two-time Royal Ascot heroine Lady Aurelia will stay in training next season, trainer Welsey Ward has confirmed.
The American three-year-old, who was an impressive three-length winner of the King’s Stand Stakes in June, is likely to endure a similar schedule to this season - with regaining her Royal crown at the forefront of her agenda.
Connections are understandably excited as she looks to bid for a famous Royal meeting hat-trick.
"I've spoken with the owners and everybody is excited to race on next year," Ward told the Racing Post.
“Hopefully with a good winter’s rest she can come back again in the spring on a similar sort of schedule.
“She's a once-in-a-lifetime filly to train and we’ll do our best to make sure she can bring her best to the table."
Lady Aurelia is being prepared for a tilt at the Group One Nunthorpe Stakes at York next in the QIPCO British Champions Series. The finale of the British Champions Series takes place at Ascot on Saturday 21st October. Tickets are on sale now.
