The Royal Enclosure is at the heart of Royal Ascot. Entry to the enclosure is by sponsorship from an existing badgeholder who has attended for four previous years (these need not be consecutive).

EXISTING BADGEHOLDERS

An invitation from Her Majesty’s Representative, together with a badge request form will be sent in early January.

In 2010, existing badgeholder may bring four unsponsored guests on Friday and Saturday.
It is important to print guest names clearly on the form to avoid incorrect name badges.

FIRST TIME APPLICANTS

First time applicants should apply to the Royal Enclosure Office for a sponsorship form. The form needs to be signed by someone who has attended the Royal Enclosure for 4 years (these need not be consecutive).

Apply before January 
You will receive confirmation when your application has been approved.

Apply January to June 
Please return your application for badges with your sponsorship form.  A reciept will be sent as confirmation.

There is no charge for sponsorship.

OVERSEAS VISITORS

If you are an overseas visitor and would like to attend Royal Ascot with access to the Royal Enclosure, you will need to contact your Embassy or High Commission in London.

All Embassies and High Commissions have been invited to submit a list of foreign nationals wanting to attend.  We suggest you contact their protocol office at the beginning of the year and they will advise you how to proceed.

Royal Enclosure Dining Options

Royal Enclosure members are offered a selection of dining options.  Some of these restaurants may be reserved for a sitting of luncheon whilst others offer you the flexibility to turn up and be served on a first come, first served basis throughout the day. 

We regret that due to high demand the restaurants listed below do not offer a base for the day and you may be asked to vacate your table after your meal to allow other guests to be served.  If you would prefer a base for the day please Click Here to view our fine dining restaurants which are priced from £235 per person or call 0870 727 4321.

Norfolk Restaurant

The Norfolk Restaurant, in the Royal Enclosure Garden, serves a delicious three course menu.  To accompany your meal a wide range of champagnes and wines are available to purchase. 

The restaurant is also available for traditional afternoon tea, served with sandwiches, cakes and scones with clotted cream. 

A limited number of tables are available to book in advance for the first sitting.  The second sitting of lunch and afternoon tea are available on a first come first served basis.

Lunch in the Norfolk Restaurant is priced at £92.50 per person and afternoon tea costs £15.  The first sitting commences at 11:30am, the second sitting at 1:30pm and afternoon tea at 3:45pm. 

Royal Enclosure Seafood Restaurant

A wide and varied selection of the finest seafood is available, ranging from dressed lobster, crab and seafood platters.  Afternoon tea is also available from 3:45pm with sandwiches, cakes and scones with clotted cream.

This self service restaurant, which is in the Royal Enclosure Garden, has both internal and garden seating.  Tables in this restaurant cannot be reserved.

Dishes in the Royal Enclosure Seafood Restaurant range from £24 - £42.50 with supplements priced from £4. Afternoon tea which is served from 3:45pm costs £15. 

Ascot Grill

The Ascot Grill, at the western end of the Royal Enclosure Concourse, offers casual dining at its best.  This intimate restaurant with an al fresco seated area is ideal for smaller groups and serves brunch, a selection of grills and seafood lunches and afternoon tea. 
Tables in this restaurant cannot be reserved.

Brunch in the Ascot Grill is priced at £30 per person, Fruits de Mer platters (for two people) cost £90 and afternoon tea costs £15.  

Champneys Picnic in a Box

For those that prefer al fresco dining, the Champneys picnic in a box are ideal.  Royal Enclosure members may pick up their picnics from the Coach and Horses Bar in Car Park 1 or on the Old Paddock Lawns.  Please Click Here for further information.
