Ground |
Ascot’s jumps track, which uses entirely new ground in the home straight, has not been raced on since April 2004 and is in
outstanding condition. New drainage will help to ensure that waterlogging is less likely to affect the track in the future, while Ascot
intends to cover the course whenever a frost is forecast on the eve of a race meeting. The aim is to provide the best possible
ground throughout the season, ideally avoiding abandonments altogether, but at least keeping them to an absolute minimum.
