Group Bookings Available from Monday

02 December 2005

Advanced group bookings for Royal Ascot, Tuesday 20th to Saturday 24th June 2006, will be available from next Monday, 5th December. A limited number of General Admission and Silver Ring tickets will be available exclusively to groups of 10 or more people for one month only until general sales open for the public areas on Tuesday 3rd January 2006.

General Admission tickets for Tuesday 20th June are priced at £40 and Silver Ring Tickets at £11 when bought as a group package. To individual bookers from 3rd January they will be available for £54 and £15 respectively.

Although there are no group discounts available for the subsequent four days of Royal Ascot, those wishing to book early for groups can do so before all tickets are put on general sale.

The order of running for Royal Ascot is still to be confirmed but there are unlikely to be any changes to the Group One schedule.

Pricing for Royal Ascot 2006 is as follows:

Date   General   Silver
   Admission   Ring

Tuesday 20th  £54 (Groups of 10+ £40) £15 (Groups of 10+ £11)
Wednesday 21st £54    £15
Thursday 22nd   £60    £22
Friday 23rd   £58    £20
Saturday 24th  £58    £20

Applications for group bookings must be made in writing using an official Ascot Group Booking Form, which can be downloaded from www.ascot.co.uk or obtained by ringing 0870 727 1234.

“In 2004, admission to the Grandstand was priced at £54 throughout the week and we’re pleased to be able to hold that for both Tuesday and Wednesday,” said Douglas Erskine-Crum, Chief Executive at Ascot

“In addition, with group discounts available for Tuesday, General Admission tickets for the official reopening of Ascot are available for just £40 and we have actually reduced the cost of Silver Ring admission for both Tuesday and Wednesday to £15 (£11 for Groups on Tuesday) from £18.

“General Admission allows access to the whole Concourse Level of the new Grandstand, the new Plaza at Lawn Level, the 8,000 capacity Parade Ring viewing areas and much of the Old Paddock Lawns, so it is a considerably better offering to racegoers than the old facilities provided. The maximum increase in pricing is on Gold Cup day (Thursday), which is just £6 more expensive than two years ago for General Admission and £4 higher for the Silver Ring.”
