Racing Summary
The feature race today is the £100,000 Grade 2 Coral Ascot Hurdle over two miles and three and a half furlongs. Last year, former Champion Hurdler, Hardy Eustace, travelled over from Ireland to record a second consecutive victory.
Previous winners of this event include the pride of France, Baracouda, who won in 2001 and 2002 and now has a bar at Ascot named after him. Supporting races include the Amlin 1965 Novices Chase, commemorating the year that Jumps Racing first took place at Ascot on the closure of the local Hurst Park course, and the £70,000 Carey Group Handicap Chase over two miles.
