SUNDAY 18TH APRIL - COUNTRYSIDE RACEDAY IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE COUNTRYSIDE ALLIANCE
Racing Summary
April Sunday features a competitive card, the highlight is the Independent Newspapers Veterans Handicap Chase open to horses of ten years or above.
Entertainment Summary
Off the track we have a wide range of entertainment for all the family. The event features a Charity Race starring local Huntsmen before the racing starts.
This is complemented in the main display arena, located on the Plaza Lawns with an array of countryside pursuits including ; a parade of hounds, a falconry display where the masters of the sky soar over the crowd, an action packed sheep dog display plus ferret racing and much more. We also have a family farm where racegoers young and old can meet and feed the animals. To top it all off there will be a silent auction raising money for the Countryside Alliance and a selection of shops for racegoers to browse through between racing.
All displays require audience participation so be prepared to have fun! Between demonstrations why not meet the stars of the show who will be in display pens around the Plaza Lawns. There is so much to do throughout the day, you’ll have a ball!
