SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST - THE DUBAI DUTY FREE SHERGAR CUP FAMILY DAY

Racing Summary
The Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup is Britain's only jockeys' competition, where teams of riders from all over the world compete over six races for the trophy. The teams are Great Britain, Ireland, Europe and Rest of the World – a new format introduced in 2007 and attracting a record crowd.

The day is easy for everyone to follow and on this unique occasion you get the chance to meet the jockeys taking part and get their autograph in the racecard. This will take place before racing in the Parade Ring.

First Race starts at approximately 1.10pm

Entertainment Summary

Back by popular demand we have a 2 hour live ‘80s concert in the Old Paddock after racing featuring The 'Here & Now' Tour. The artistes line up is:

• Rick Astley
• Altered Images
• Nik Kershaw
• Bucks Fizz
• Howard Jones
• Curiosity Killed The Cat
• The Real Thing

The concert will begin at about 4.30pm for a two hour set and each artist will play their all time classic hits.

As well as the Jockey signing and concert there are lots of others activities for the family off the track. The Plaza Lawns will feature a Punch and Judy Act as well as Fairground Rides.
All activities are free of charge.

Colts & Fillies Exclusive Activities
Colts and Fillies will be treated to a summer barbecue. This is a pre booked event and will feature an exclusive Colts and Fillies Punch and Judy performance before racing starts.

This event is for 100 children and is first come first served. This is pre booked and subject to availability.
