Facilities & Viewing area FAQ's for customers with access difficulties

Parking
There are areas set aside for disabled customers with a Blue Badge, to allow forward parking in the car parks, nearer to the racecourse entrances.

Entry to the Racecourse

Each entrance to the racecourse has a pass gate, in addition to a set of turnstiles. This allows easier access for wheelchair users (electric and transit), semi-ambulant visitors, pushchairs and those accompanied by working dogs.

Once inside the racecourse, access to other areas is available via ramps and/or lifts.

Wheelchair Hire
A number of wheelchairs are available for hire on the day, although pre-booking is advised. Wheelchair hire is  free of charge, with a fully refundable deposit of £30 cash on the day.

Viewing Areas
There are raised viewing ramps on the track side, on both Premier and General Admission lawns and also the Silver Ring and Heath areas, when in use.

There are designated viewing areas on the north side of the parade ring and at lawn level on the east side.

There are a number of designated viewing areas within loges at Concourse level and on the balcony at Level 4. In addition, there are viewing areas suitable for wheelchairs on the balconies of all boxes and private suites.

WC Facilities
There are disabled WC facilities at each core on all levels of the Grandstand and other locations, including the Old Paddock, the Pavilion and the Silver Ring and Heath when in use.

Auditory Assistance
Individual Induction Loops are available for hire at the Main Reception.

Access Officer
Any customer who has specific access issues they would like to discuss, should contact the Racecourse on 08707 227 227.
